The electrochemical SO2 sensor utilizes a 3-electrode design (working, counter, and reference electrodes) operating on a liquid or solid polymer electrolyte. The target gas diffuses through a porous membrane where it undergoes chemical oxidation at the working electrode:
The resulting flow of electrons is directly proportional to the gas concentration. To ensure this signal is clean, Xinhaosi utilizes low-noise transimpedance amplifiers, dynamic temperature-compensation algorithms, and customized hardware packages (ranging from mini-4 series to standard 7-series industrial formats).
